Beautiful morning. They woke up at around 4 A.M. (I woke up at 5, hehe mabilis naman ako gumayak e! :p)
Destination: the Island Garden City of Samal
So to start the day right, hot pandesal was in order.
We were in a rush because we were told the ferry to Samal leaves the pier at 6 AM. But when we got there, the operators said they leave at 9. So instead of waiting 3 hours, we took the bus. And the bus then took the barge with us in it. Hehe.
Of course this was a photo op waiting to happen...
When the bus hit land again, it went on a little further before we had to take a multicab to take us to our first adventure:
Extreme Samal Zipline
Everything was extreme... below are some extreme dogs, extreme spider, an out of focus extreme cow, and an extremely steep ladder.
here's the view from the top of the cliff, and that rope leading to the sea is our way down. nice... hehe.
Suit up! (nuthuggers!)
Pose like you aint scared!
Jump! (malakas loob ko kase may life jacket)
Swim back to the boat. (Snorkel while waiting)
Climb up the stairs and repeat.
Next... to Kaputian Beach.
Entrance Fee: 5 pesos/head (Rule of 5 applies on this island too!)
Gutom na lahat so wala na nakapag picture ng pagkain. Best! Nagkamay lahat... hehe. After an early but full lunch, picked out a spot for siesta (pigs! hahaha). These pics are taken after we woke up. O and yes, we had an annoying group of middle-aged, big-bellied males blasting Barry Manilow tunes and the likes so we decided to leave when we found ourselves singing along.
Next... Hagimit Falls
Entrance Fee: 5 pesos
Inihaw BananaQ: 3 pesos (love this place!)
Manong and his transistor radio
The long walk down
Pa assess muna kung malalim... walang life jacket e... hehehe
Game!
Amoy adobo yung tubig! hahaha
Jump!
The jumps look weak but it's not the height that's terrifying, it's the rocks below. On the last jump I narrowly missed a rock to the elbow but Rommel tore up some serious foot skin... TJ chickened out. hahahah.
Had some minor scratches as a souvenir. It was slippery as hell, I was stumbling all over the place and water-soaked skin scratch easy.
On a serious note, it's really disappointing seeing people with absolutely no regard for nature or for other people for that matter. We've witnessed people (of all ages) throwing leftover food, washing dishes, taking a bath (literally complete with shampoo and conditioner).
Anyways, it was time to go home... back to the multicab then the bus.
They were my seatmates
